What are your hours?

Mon–Fri 4pm – 2am · Sat & Sun 12pm – 2am. Open seven days.

Yes — open every day, including holidays. Same hours.

What's on the menu?


Where can I see the menu?

Right here: menu.html. Wings six ways, baskets, burgers, Tex-Mex, pub grub, sides.

What wing sauces do you have?

Buffalo · BBQ · Mango Habanero · Lemon Pepper · Garlic Parmesan · Dry. Six wings $11.50, twelve $22.

What's on tap / what beers do you have?

Domestic, import, and local Houston brews on draft and in bottles.

Do you have happy hour?

Yes — every day, all day during opening hours. Drink and food specials. Ask the bar for tonight's lineup.

Do you have vegetarian / gluten-free options?

A few items work — sides and salads — and we'll modify others where we can. Ask the bar. We're actively building out more vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Do you serve crawfish?

Yes, in season. Market price — currently $7.99/lb or 3 lbs for $21, served with corn, potatoes, sausage, and lemon. Boil days rotate — check Instagram or call ahead. Supplies sell out.

Is there a kids' menu?

Smaller portions of basics — chicken fingers, burgers, mac. Ask your server.

Visiting

Before you come in


Is there parking?

Yes — free, on-site, well-lit.

Is there a dress code?

No. Wear what you want.

Is there a cover charge?

Most nights, no. Headline live shows in the backyard occasionally have a cover — when so, we announce it on the Facebook event for that night.

Do you ID at the door?

If you look under 30, yes. Bring a valid government photo ID — driver's license, passport, military ID. We don't accept expired IDs.

Is the patio open year-round?

Yes — covered patio seating, open to the backyard.

Where do I sit if I just walk in?

Anywhere open. We're a sports bar — first-come-first-served at the bar, tables, and patio. Backyard seating is open during regular hours unless a private event has it booked.

Kids

Family-friendly


Are kids allowed?

Yes. Family-friendly until 9pm. After that the room gets louder.

Do you have high chairs?

No high chairs at the moment. Strollers fit fine on the patio.

Are kids allowed at private events in the backyard?

Depends on the event — wedding receptions and birthdays usually yes, late-night concerts usually no. We work with you on the policy when you book.

Live music & events

What's happening


What nights have live music?

Wednesday backyard music + most weekends. Lineups change weekly — check Facebook for tonight's act.

Is there karaoke?

Yes.

Is there trivia?

Check Facebook or call ahead — we'll have the latest schedule.

Do I need a ticket for live music?

Most shows: no, just show up. For ticketed headline shows we'll announce on Facebook.

Do you show the Astros / NFL / college games?

Yes. TVs everywhere. Sound up on whichever screen the room cares about. Open at noon Sat & Sun for game day.

Private events / The Backyard

Booking the backyard


Can I book the backyard for a private event?

Yes — it's one of the things The Pub 529 is best known for. Birthdays, wedding receptions, corporate after-parties, concerts, charity nights. See the Backyard page for what's included, then send an inquiry.

How do I book?

Send a quick inquiry through the Book page or directly on the Backyard page. We'll come back with availability and a quote within 1–2 business days.

What's the maximum capacity?

Depends on the configuration — concerts (standing), wedding receptions (seated), and mixed private parties all have different layouts. Email events@thepub529.com with your headcount and we’ll confirm what fits.

What's included with a backyard booking?

Sound & lighting, full bar service, food (bar menu or upgraded plates), tables & chairs to capacity, on-site staff, parking. See the Backyard page for the full breakdown.

Is there a deposit? What's the cancellation policy?

A 25% deposit holds your date. Cancellation/refund window is in your event contract.

Can I bring my own DJ / band / decor?

Yes — outside DJs, bands, and decor are all welcome. Outside food and outside alcohol are not (kitchen and bar handle those).

Can I schedule a tour of the backyard?

Yes — pick a time on the Book page. About 20 minutes; we'll walk you through the space and configurations.

Catering

Off-site events


Do you cater?

Yes — for groups of 20 or more. Email events@thepub529.com with your date, headcount, and preferences.

What are the catering hours?

Same as the pub: closed Monday, Tue–Fri 4pm–2am, Sat & Sun 12pm–2am.

How much notice do you need?

3–5 business days is standard for most catering. Larger or more custom orders may need more — send the request and we'll come back with a realistic turnaround.

Do you deliver catering?

Yes within the local area.

What can I order for catering?

Bar menu items that travel well — wings, baskets, Tex-Mex, sides. Custom packages for bigger events.

Delivery & pickup

Do you deliver?

Yes — through DoorDash and Uber Eats. See Order Online for both buttons.

What's the delivery zone?

Roughly a five-mile radius around 15444 FM 529. Outside that, give us a call — we might still be able to figure something out.

Can I order pickup?

Yes — both DoorDash and Uber Eats let you choose pickup. Or call us at (832) 427-1061 and we'll have it ready.

Why are platform prices a bit higher than in-house?

DoorDash and Uber Eats take a commission on every order. We mark our platform menu up modestly to cover it. Showing up is always the better deal.

Is the delivery menu the same as in the bar?

Mostly. Some items don't survive the car ride and aren't on the platform menu. Wings, burgers, baskets, Tex-Mex — all on there.

Reservations

Holding a table


Do you take table reservations?

Reserve with Google through our Google Business Profile, or call (832) 427-1061. Walk-ins are always welcome — most nights you won't need a reservation.

How do I book the backyard?

For a private event in The Backyard, send an inquiry on the Book page or fill the form on the Backyard page.

Can I hold a section for a birthday or group?

Inside the bar we're first-come-first-served — even for groups. For a guaranteed private space, book The Backyard via the Book page.

What if I need to cancel?

For walk-in tables, just don't come. For private events / The Backyard, see your contract for the deposit refund window.

Payment & accessibility

The practical stuff


What payment methods do you accept?

Cash and all major credit cards. Tap-to-pay (Apple Pay, Google Pay) is coming soon.

Is there an ATM on-site?

Yes — ATM in the bar.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes — accessible entrance, restrooms, and patio. Ask any staff member if you need help getting set up.

Is there free WiFi?

Are you hiring?

Sometimes. Send a note to info@thepub529.com with the subject "Career" and we'll get back to you if there's an opening.

How do I leave feedback or a review?

Best place: Google or Facebook. We read every one.

Will I get photographed if I'm here?

Maybe. By entering The Pub 529 you consent to photography on the premises that may be used for promotion (this is also posted at the door). For close-up or face-centered shots we always ask first — thumbs-up, no thumbs-up, no shot. If you'd prefer not to be photographed, just let any staff member know and we'll keep the camera away.
